Questions

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold the Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose Continuus Rise in small or medium size. It shows quotes from the topics you follow, and your own words if you turn that on in My Words.

In the app’s Settings, Widget, choose about how many quotes a day it shows and whether it follows your quote theme. iOS decides exactly when a widget refreshes.

On the Lock Screen, the widget shows the quote in the tint iOS uses there, without backgrounds.

How do reminders work?

Reminders and alarms are part of Continuus Rise Plus: notifications scheduled on your iPhone. You can have up to 3 reminder schedules, each with its own days, times, topics and sound.

They need notification permission. Focus, Notification Summary or Low Power Mode can delay or hide them, so please don’t rely on them for anything time-critical.

Is an alarm the same as the Clock app’s alarm?

No. An alarm shows the quote you picked at the time and on the days you set. It is delivered as a notification, not as the Clock app’s alarm.

Why didn’t a reminder make a sound?

Reminders can be silent, use the system sound, or use Rise, Soft bell or Clear. With the ringer switched off, or in a Focus that silences notifications, iOS may not play a sound.

Can I stop a quote from appearing?

Tap the eye in Daily to stop a quote appearing in Daily, reminders and the widget. Bring it back any time in Settings, Hidden quotes.
